Repros is continuing the legacy of Shure Signs, established in 1986, by servicing the real estate industry of Northeast Ohio. The purchase of Shure Signs four years ago has expanded the capability of Repros to offer high-quality residential and commercial yard signs in the area.
Shure Signs was incorporated in February of 1986 in Valley City, Ohio. The company produced its own silkscreened real estate signs with metal frames. In December of 1986, they purchased the property of Kingsbury Road which allowed for commercial business. The family built a shop next to their home and moved the company next door. Over time, they successfully landed numerous real estate company accounts. As the business grew, Shure Signs expanded into producing a wide range of signs, including vinyl and sandblasted signs, in addition to their silkscreen offerings. Later, they sold the metalworking part of the business, which mainly produced the real estate frames, since they could be purchased for less than their cost for producing them.
In 2000, Shure Signs decided to purchase a Zund UV Flatbed printer, reducing the need to make silk-screened signs. This allowed them to narrow their focus to producing signs mainly for the real estate industry. Later, with their equipment aging, Shure Signs began to subcontract some of their printing work to outside companies. One of those companies was Repros, one of the largest large format printing businesses in Northeast Ohio. The association between the two companies worked well and, after a few months, Shure Signs moved more and more work to Repros. With the departure of a loyal employee after 16 years in service to the company, the owners of Shure Signs decided to simplify their lives and sell their business to Repros in October 2018.
